Bhopal/Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has undertaken concrete measures for the welfare of the poor over the past 12 years, guided by the principle of “Antyodaya to Rashtriya Uday” (upliftment of the last person leading to national progress).
In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said every ministry under the Prime Minister’s leadership has worked actively in the public interest and ensured that welfare benefits reach beneficiaries directly. He claimed that nearly 25 crore people have moved out of poverty during this period.
Dr. Yadav highlighted several flagship Central government schemes that, he said, have significantly improved the lives of citizens. These include the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana providing free foodgrains to eligible ration card holders, and the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
The Chief Minister also credited the nationwide cleanliness drive for advancing the vision of a Swachh Bharat, noting that large-scale construction of household toilets has contributed to improved sanitation across the country.
He further described the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism as a transformative initiative under the Digital India programme, saying it has enabled transparent and seamless transfer of welfare funds directly to beneficiaries, thereby ensuring dignity and security for millions of underprivileged families.
Dr. Yadav said sustained efforts are being made to realise the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047 and stressed that the target would be achieved through active public participation.
