NEW DELHI: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday held separate meetings with Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh here, discussing employment generation, skill development and the expansion of the textile sector in the state.
During his meeting with Mandaviya, Yadav discussed measures to expand employment opportunities for the youth and strengthen skill development initiatives in Madhya Pradesh. He apprised the Union minister of the efforts being undertaken by the state government to promote skill development and employment.
The two leaders also discussed ways to effectively implement employment and skill development-related schemes with the support of the Union Labour and Employment Ministry. They deliberated on expanding job opportunities for young people and accelerating employment-oriented activities through greater coordination between the Centre and the state.
In his meeting with Singh, Yadav discussed the potential for expanding the textile sector in Madhya Pradesh, attracting investments and promoting industrial development and employment generation.
The chief minister briefed the Union minister on the opportunities available for the textile industry in the state and the steps being taken by the government to encourage industry and investment.
The two leaders also explored possibilities for giving further impetus to the textile sector and attracting fresh investments into the state.
Textiles Ministry Secretary Neelam Shammi Rao, Madhya Pradesh Resident Commissioner Rashmi Arun Shami and senior officials from the Centre and state were present during the meeting with Singh.
