Ensure Doctors Report On Time, MP Dy CM tells Health Officials

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla reviewed various matters related to the Public Health and Medical Education Department at Mantralaya and directed officials to strengthen departmental systems to ensure timely and quality healthcare services for the public.

During the review meeting, Shukla stressed the need to ensure that doctors posted on duty report at the designated time. He directed officials to put in place effective monitoring mechanisms to track attendance and ensure that doctors remain available during their assigned duty hours.

He also called for regular monitoring of doctors’ attendance and functioning, with appropriate systems to assess their performance and ensure accountability.

Reviewing the recruitment of specialist doctors, Shukla directed officials to complete the process on priority. He also took stock of recruitment against other vacant positions in the department and instructed officials to expedite the process wherever required to ensure adequate availability of human resources.

The Deputy Chief Minister said strengthening manpower and improving departmental functioning were essential for providing better healthcare facilities to people in a timely manner.

Principal Secretary, Public Health and Medical Education, Sukhveer Singh, and Commissioner Dhanraju S were present at the meeting.
