NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold its three-day annual Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal Baithak, popularly known as the Diwali Baithak, in Indore from October 3 to 5, sources said.
The meeting will be the RSS’s concluding major organisational gathering during its centenary year, with office-bearers from all 46 provinces expected to attend.
The participants are likely to review the organisation’s ongoing activities and assess the implementation of decisions taken during the centenary year. The meeting is also expected to assume significance as the Sangh prepares to undertake proposed changes to its organisational structure.
According to sources, the restructuring process is likely to begin after the Diwali Baithak. Under the proposed arrangement, the existing Prant Pracharak system is expected to be replaced by the Sambhag Pracharak system.
The changes are aimed at reorganising the Sangh’s organisational framework and strengthening its functioning at various levels, sources said.
The Indore meeting is expected to be particularly significant as the RSS, founded in 1925, moves into the next phase following the completion of its centenary-year programmes.
The RSS completed 100 years in October 2025, while programmes marking the centenary year are scheduled to continue until Vijayadashami on October 20 this year.
In July, the Sangh held its All India Prant Pracharak meeting in Belagavi, Karnataka, where senior functionaries reviewed organisational activities, expansion of shakhas and programmes associated with the centenary celebrations.
Meanwhile, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is currently on a three-nation outreach visit covering the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. He is scheduled to address an event at the Infosys Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday.
