BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday announced that the promotion process for government officers and employees would now be conducted regularly every year.
Addressing a felicitation ceremony organised at Mantralaya, Yadav said Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) would begin functioning across all departments this year and all eligible employees would be provided the benefit of promotion.
The Chief Minister said employee welfare remained a priority of his government and stressed that salaries, allowances and promotions due to employees would be provided on time. “A decision delayed is, in a sense, equivalent to injustice,” he said, adding that the government had taken decisions keeping in mind the welfare and aspirations of its employees.
Yadav said government employees had made a significant contribution to Madhya Pradesh’s development and public welfare. He noted that the happiness visible on employees’ faces after receiving promotions reflected the importance of such decisions. “These are the rights of employees. Such benefits bring renewed energy to them and happiness to their families,” he said.
He also said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India was progressing rapidly, adding that transparent decision-making and firm resolve were the pillars of good governance.
The Chief Minister extended greetings to women employees on Raksha Bandhan and said the state government would continue taking welfare-oriented decisions in their interest.
During the programme, ministry officers and employees felicitated Yadav for his employee-friendly decisions. He also honoured international karate player Jagruti Patel and Vikram Award winner Anjali Verma.
MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani said Yadav was concerned not only about employees’ salaries and allowances but also their housing needs. Programme organiser and coordinator Subhash Verma said allowances pending since 2013 were released after December 13, 2023, while more than 1.25 lakh officers and employees across the state received promotions in 2026.
President of the Madhya Pradesh State Employees’ Association Ramesh Sharma, representatives of various employees’ associations and a large number of government employees attended the programme.
