CM Chouhan, Union Minister Tomar lay foundation stone for several infrastructural projects of over Rs 84 crores in Gwalior-Rural constituency
Tap water to be available to 28 villages in SADA area of Gwalior: Shivraj
BHOPAL / Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday gifted many developments works worth about Rs 84 crore including the ambitious project of filling water reservoirs of several villages in the SADA area falls MP Minister for Food Processing and Horticulture in Gwalior.
CM Chouhan said that for 28 villages of 18-gram-panchayats in the SADA area, the government has approved a group tap-water scheme costing Rs 60 crore, and tap water will be available in every house of these villages.
Addressing the gathering at the programme organised at the Police Training School campus in the Tighara area of the district, CM also said that the state government has started the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna’ scheme in the interest of women, which will prove to be a ‘social revolution’.
The CM announced that a new Tehsil would be made in the Purani Chhavni area and a fair of Lord Jagannath on behalf of the state government in Kulaith while speaking at the Bhumi-Poojan and dedication ceremony of the development works. Along with this, Chouhan distributed the benefits of various government schemes to the beneficiaries on this occasion.
The programme was presided over by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar.
Chouhan said that empowered sisters would lead to empowered families and subsequently to an empowered state and country. With this thinking, the state government has started the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana’. The application forms for the scheme would start filling from March 5, he also said.
Women of every family with an income up to Rs 2.5 lakh, including women of marginal farmer families having land up to five acres, will get the benefit of the scheme.
The efforts of the government will be that by the date 10th of every month, Rs 1000 should reach the account of each eligible woman, Chouhan ensured the women who were present at the event. He also reiterated his commitment to providing agriculture loans to the farmers at zero per cent interest.
Accepting most of the demands made by Minister Kushwaha, who represents the Gwalior-Rural constituency in the Assembly, the CM announced to make of ‘Purani Chawni’ a new tehsil and officially organise Lord Jagannath’s fair and Rath Yatra. He further announced that on the request of Minister Kushwaha, the CM Rise School would be opened in Kulaith village with all amenities and Jageshwar temple would be developed as a tourist destination.
Chouhan also announced a group drinking water scheme as a permanent solution to the drinking water problem of the villages situated in the stony areas of the Ghatigaon (Barai) block.
Addressing the programme, Union Minister Tomar said that MP is now known as the fastest-growing state in the country due to good governance now big industrialists are ready to invest in the state. Under the leadership of Chouhan, there is happiness on the face of the village, poor and farmers and there has been a big change in their standard of living. Along with this, work is being done to build new roads, CM Rise School, clean water from taps in every village and provide electricity to every house. The law and order of the state are also better. Tomar appreciated the work done by Minister Kushwaha in the development of the constituency.
District in-charge and Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat also addressed the gathering on this occasion.
Minister Kushwaha expressed gratitude on behalf of the residents of the area towards CM Chouhan for the huge gifts given to his constituency. He said that CM Chouhan has sanctioned an amount of about Rs.60 crores to solve the years-old problems of drinking water in 28 villages. Funds have been made available for computer education to the children of the constituency and for dental treatment of the elderly.
Lok Sabha MP from Gwalior constituency Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar also addressed the gathering.
