Chouhan, Tomar to lay foundation stone of over 250 crores devpt projects in Minister Kushwaha’s constituency in Gwalior today
BHOPAL / Under the ongoing Vikas Yatra, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will lay the foundation stone and dedicate several infrastructure projects, worth Rs 250 crore, in his cabinet member Bharat Singh Kushwaha’s constituency on Friday in Gwalior.
Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar will also present along with the CM. Chouhan and Tomar will also address a mega public rally being organised at the Police Training School campus, Tigra in the Gwalior-Rural constituency which is represented by Minister Kushwaha in the Assembly.
During the programme, CM Chohan and Tomar will lay the foundation stone for the strengthening, restoration and advancement works costing Rs 68.19 crore of the Pehsari, Kaketo, Raipur, Girbai, Veerpur, Mama and Hanuman dams which fall in the Gwalior-Rural constituency.
The CM will also lay the foundation stone for the Tigra water plant project, estimated to cost Rs 58.97 crore. It is expected that 28 villages of 18 Panchayats will be provided filtered drinking water through this project.
The foundation stone of CM Rise School, costing Rs 39.62 crore will also be laid in Kulaith village.
During the Vikas Yatra, a statewide campaign of the state government, the CM and the Union Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Tigra water body for grouting, buttressing and underwater pointing works costing Rs 17.73 crore. Around 1.04 crore worth of strengthening of the Maheshwara water in the pond will also be laid as the foundation stone.
“I am thankful to CM Chouhan Ji and Union Minister Tomar Ji who sanctioned a huge amount to my constituency for the welfare and development of the people”, MP Minister for Food Processing and Horticulture Kushwaha told The Sun Today.
“The Vikas Yatra is a flagship programme of the Shivraj Singh-led government aiming to connect the people of the state with welfare schemes and programmes so that betterment can be brought in the life of every citizen by taking advantage of them”, Kushwaha said.
“During the development tour (Vikas Yatra), the elected representatives and officials have been interacting with the people and knowing the ground reality of the schemes and development works they also talking about the steps taken by the government for their welfare too”, the Minister also said.
Kushwaha has become the first MLA in the region who brought a huge amount of development work to his constituency. He is known as a hardcore supporter of Union Minister Tomar.
Minister Kushwaha, who is the two-term MLA from the Gwalior-Rural seat has a deep influence on the rural voters and is considered a big Other Background Classes community in the Gwalior-Chambal region.
Various infrastructural development works, worth Rs 166.44 crore, related to Panchayat and Rural Development department will also be laid virtually the foundation stone during the Yatra in the Kushwaha’s constituency. Several development projects will also be launched by the CM.
