MP Gets Rs 53,000 cr Investment Proposals During CM Yadav’s UAE Visit

MP Prepared to Convert its Vast Potential into Investments, Employment Opportunities & Sustainable Economic Growth: CM

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh has attracted investment proposals exceeding Rs 53,000 crore in sectors ranging from green energy and urban development to healthcare and education during Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s three-day visit to the UAE, officials said on Wednesday.

The visit, which concluded on Tuesday, was aimed at strengthening business ties and showcasing the investment potential of Madhya Pradesh to UAE-based investors and business groups.

While interacting with investors, Yadav said the transformation achieved by Dubai demonstrated how determination and hard work could turn opportunities into global success. Madhya Pradesh, he said, was similarly prepared to convert its vast potential into investments, employment opportunities and sustainable economic growth.

The chief minister pointed out that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s important growth engines, recording an economic growth rate of more than 11 per cent.

He presented investment opportunities available across a wide range of sectors, including agriculture and food processing, textiles, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automobiles, advanced manufacturing, renewable and green energy, information technology, artificial intelligence, data centres, electronics and tourism.

Yadav also highlighted the state’s large land bank, extensive road and railway connectivity, eight operational airports, investor-friendly policies and single-window clearance mechanism as key advantages for companies looking to establish or expand their operations in the state.

On the concluding day of his UAE visit on Tuesday, Yadav attended a series of meetings and programmes focused on investment promotion, industrial collaboration, urban infrastructure, green energy, logistics, healthcare, education, technology and sustainable development.

The visit resulted in investment proposals worth more than Rs 53,000 crore, an official said.

Among the major investment discussions was a meeting between Yadav and Rana Holdings Limited Chairman and Managing Director Dr Darshan Singh Rana. The two sides discussed possibilities for large-scale investments in Madhya Pradesh in areas such as green hydrogen, solar power, data centres and smart manufacturing.

Rana Holdings expressed interest in developing a 2,000 MW solar energy portfolio in the state. The company also proposed setting up a 200 MW green hydrogen plant, along with a 50 MW artificial intelligence and compute data centre that could subsequently be expanded to 200 MW.

In addition, the company showed interest in establishing a 30,000 MTPA critical minerals recovery and recycling complex and an integrated smart manufacturing hub in Madhya Pradesh.

According to the official, the combined investment potential of these projects is estimated at around Rs 35,200 crore. These initiatives, he said, could give a major boost to the state’s transition towards clean energy while strengthening its advanced manufacturing capabilities and digital infrastructure.

In another business meeting, a company presented a proposal for an AI factory involving an investment of nearly Rs 18,000 crore. The proposed facility would initially have a capacity of 50 megawatts and could be expanded to more than 100 megawatts in the future, the official said.

Yadav also held a one-on-one meeting with GEMS Education Chairman Sunny Varkey. Discussions centred on the possibility of establishing K-12 schools, teacher-training facilities and future-oriented educational campuses conforming to international standards in Madhya Pradesh.

Healthcare was another key area discussed during the visit. In talks with representatives of Pure Health, the chief minister explored investment opportunities in multi-speciality hospitals, digital healthcare services, telemedicine, and medical and nursing education.

Yadav also engaged with the Sharaf Group regarding potential investments in multi-modal logistics parks, warehousing facilities, cold-chain infrastructure, supply-chain networks, tourism and hospitality.

Discussions with Choithrams focused on opportunities to expand food processing and retail operations in Madhya Pradesh. The talks also covered agricultural product procurement, distribution networks and the development of cold-chain infrastructure.

The chief minister said Madhya Pradesh had already witnessed a significant rise in investment interest in recent years. During the last two-and-a-half years, the state has received investment proposals exceeding Rs 34 lakh crore, of which more than 30 per cent of the projects have already been implemented, he said.

Yadav also invited UAE investors and business leaders to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS-2027), which is scheduled to be held in Bhopal in January 2027.

“Madhya Pradesh is the heart of India and will welcome investors with open arms,” he said while extending the invitation.

The visit also featured an ‘Invest in Madhya Pradesh: Interactive Session’ in Dubai, which brought together UAE industrialists, investors, business organisations, members of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC), representatives of CII UAE and NRI entrepreneurs.

During the session, Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office Neeraj Mandloi made a presentation highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s industrial strengths, infrastructure and investment opportunities.

Badr Jafar, Special Envoy of the UAE, attended the programme as the special guest and also addressed the gathering, the official added.
