Minister Dr Mishra organises mega rally to promote ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign
BHOPAL / Senior most Minister in Madhya Pradesh cabinet Dr Narottam Mishra along with the renowned saints on Sunday taken out a grand rally in his constituency, Datia to promote the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT)’ campaign and he appealed to people to hoist the national flag.
Thousands of local people of the district took part in the procession. At the rally, a chariot on which Bharat Mata was sitting was the centre of people’s attraction. A girl was performing the role of the mother of India. The rally passed through the main markets of the city. More than 2.50 lakh national flags will be displayed in the district under the HGT campaign from 13 August to 15 August.
During the rally, Dr Mishra who has the portfolios of the Home, Jail and Parliamentary Affaires and is considered a powerful minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s cabinet appealed to the people to host or display the national flag at their homes and establishments, he also said that Datia should be marked a record in the initiative taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Lok Sabha MP of Bhind-Datia constituency, Sandhya Rai also attended the rally.
“Under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsava’, Modi Ji has taken a great initiative of the HGT to mark the celebration of the 75th anniversary of our Independence and to encourage patriotism among the countrymen”, said Dr Mishra who is known for putting his voice strongly on the issues of nationalism.
“We have formed 1500 Jhanda Brigades keeping four people each. More than 6000 volunteers have been engaged to encourage people to hoist the national flag. Every brigade has been given a target of 100 homes, ” collector of Datia Sanjay Kumar told The Sun Today. More than 2.50 lakh national flags would be hoisted in the district, he also said.
Dheerendra Krishan Sashtri aka Bageshwar Dham Sarkar and Mahant Ram Das alias Dandraua Sarkar took part in the procession, they also appealed to the people to hoist the national flag. At present, Dheerendra Krishan is in the city for attending a mega religious event being organised by minister Mishra.
