NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday said the results and final answer keys for UGC-NET 2026 covering 84 subjects will be released this week.
“The final answer keys and results for UGC-NET (84 Subjects), CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026 will be published on NTA’s website, this week. Candidates are advised to rely only on official communications from NTA,” the agency said in a post on X.
The announcement comes amid uncertainty over the results following errors reported in the question papers of the English, Commerce and Sociology examinations held in June.
The NTA had ordered fresh examinations for candidates who appeared for these three papers after an expert committee identified factual, typographical, translation and language-related errors in the question papers.
The agency released the UGC-NET answer key on August 16, nearly two months after the examination, along with a special notice concerning the three affected subjects.
Later the same day, it announced that the English, Commerce and Sociology examinations would be conducted afresh in September due to the errors.
The re-examinations are scheduled for September 9 and 10. Candidates will not be required to pay any additional examination fee for appearing in the fresh tests.
The UGC-NET is conducted by the NTA to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for appointment as assistant professors and for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in universities and colleges across the country.
